The iTQi is an independent organization with multiple branches worldwide, which examines, awards, and promotes global food and drink products that excel in taste. The jury is made up of first-class chefs and sommeliers belonging to Europe's 15 most authoritative cooking associations and L'Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI). Their strict examinations take into consideration the first impression, outward appearance, fragrance, texture, flavor, aftertaste, and other various aspects, and only products that receive a rating of 70% or higher through this sensory analysis are rewarded with a Superior Taste Award, which is further divided into 1-, 2- and 3-star ratings.
